This last period would therefore be the best to visit the emirate without suffering from the intense heat and high humidity (you can really enjoy outdoor activities). If you don’t know when to go to Dubai and you have flexibility in choosing your vacation dates, I recommend the milder season.
On the other hand, you should know that the hot season is the low tourist season. There are fewer tourists, flight prices are more affordable (allow on average 500 euros/person in summer and around 800 euros in winter) and activity prices too. There may therefore be a financial advantage to leaving during the hot season, depending on your budget.
And to avoid sunburn, don’t forget to take sunscreen and after-sun with you. Also prefer loose and light clothes, much more pleasant to wear.
ORGANIZING YOUR TRIP TO DUBAI: WHEN TO BOOK A FLIGHT?
The first thing to do to organize your trip to Dubai is to start the research phase for prices and the best airlines to come to Dubai.
If you prepare your trip well in advance (3 to 4 months before departure), you can find rather affordable flights. To do this, do not hesitate to use flight comparators such as Expedia , Last Minute , etc.
Another good plan: Think of all-inclusive stays, namely: “stay on site + plane ticket”. You will be able to find very competitive offers that may make you happy.
It’s also important to know what events you want to see – or avoid. The Ramadan period, for example, can be a drag on certain activities, as Dubai is temporarily slowing down. It is also forbidden to eat and drink in public until sunset during this period!
So be sure to book a stay outside of this month – unless you want to see how the locals live at this time of year!
All air travel involves possible problems due to travel risks. However, these risks can be minimized.
For example, to compensate for a possible incident (flight delay, loss or theft of luggage, etc.), or even an accident on the spot or during your transfer to Dubai, consider taking out travel insurance. Do not hesitate to take one, because it will cover you for all emergencies, even medical ones (on-site medical care can be very expensive!) and will allow you to spend a carefree stay.
The flight between France and the emirate of Dubai is rather long. From Paris, count between 7h and 7h45 of flight. Big companies like Emirates Airlines will provide you with a good level of comfort that will make this long flight as bearable as possible.
WHAT TYPE OF ACCOMMODATION TO CHOOSE?
sleep in dubai
Booking accommodation in Dubai is certainly what will hurt your travel budget the most! Fortunately, the choice is not lacking, because the emirate is full of hotels. Choose according to your budget, but also according to the activities you have planned to do on site.
I give some advice on this in my article on accommodation in Dubai , but first try to find a room in an area away from Downtown Dubai , namely the city center. Indeed, this is where the room rates are the highest. There are the best hotels in the city, and even among the most luxurious in the world; in short, this is where the 5-star hotels are!
In the city center, count on average 200 to 400 € for a room in a top-of-the-range hotel, and 150 to 250 € for a mid-range hotel. Unfortunately these are the rates per night…
If you can afford it, you can stay at the famous Burj Al Arab (which a British journalist described as “so luxurious it should be seven stars”, in his review of the hotel) or even the Sheraton Dubai Mall of the Emirates . This hotel is a practical good, as it offers its customers a direct passage to the shopping center. Organizing your trip to Dubai is important and the location of your hotel is too!
Alternatively, you can head to Palm Island or Jumeirah Beach , a residential area filled with luxury hotels. You may also find your happiness near the Marina , the brand new modern district of Dubai!
In the emirate there are also, of course, hotels of the “ Holiday Inn ” chain. or “ Ibis ” which offer good services and pretty comfortable rooms.
If you have a smaller budget, prefer accommodation in areas away from the center, such as the old districts of Bur Dubai and Deira . They are rich in cultural and architectural activities and you will always be close to the metro. But above all, you can find rooms there at much more reasonable prices (around 70, 100 or 150 €).
